Indian Test team for South Africa tour announced

Indian Test team for the South Africa tour and T20 series against Sri Lanka.

The selection committee under MSK Prasad, picked up a 17 member team for the upcoming tour against South Africa. The series will consist of three test matches. Captain Kohli will lead the side after taking a break during the one-day and T20 series against Sri Lanka. There are some interesting inclusions in Indian test team in both the teams.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been picked up for his first test series and wicket-keeper batsman Partiv Patel also found a place in the squad. Jasprit Bumrah has been bowling outstanding form in the limited overs cricket. The first test match will take place in Cape Town on January 5. It will be a good series to watch as both the teams look in good form.

Along with the test squad, the selectors also picked up the T20 squad to play against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma will lead the side in the absence of Virat Kohli. The T20 squad includes three new entrants which includes Basil Thampi, Washington Sundar and Deepak Hooda. It will be a good opportunity for the youngsters to leave their mark in the absence of star players.
